Heavenly Hand Me Downs was formed in 2008 as an outreach of Hands and Feet Ministries. After receiving a surplus of donations to send to Hands and Feet's projects in Mexico, New Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, and other areas, ministry founders, Michelle and Roy Adams, recognized an ongoing need in the local North Georgia area and began Heavenly Hand Me Downs in Downtown Adairsville, Georgia. The store was created to serve as a place to help the community and to ensure donations received were most effectively distributed to help others.
Heavenly Hand Me Downs provides regular financial support to the Lozano Cardenas elementary school in the village of Nava, Mexico. They also provide donate and support to other North Georgia non-profit organizations including homeless shelters, churches, and others. We publish a monthly newsletter to update our customers about where and how their purchases and donations are actively helping out the community.
